Well, submitted my vote for the Dutch elections. It will be Bij1 which is I think the closest we can get to actual socialist voices.

Funny thing though is that when I did a quiz to see who I should vote for, they were not my number 1 but rather 5 or something like that. I had a 80% match. The Green/Labour fusion was my actual nummer one apparently. My gf, who is less involved in politics than I am, did get a 92% match with Bij1 lol.

[–] KrupskayaPraxis@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Thank you for voting for my party! I hope we'll get into parliament again. I've been so busy with campaigning.

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 6 days ago

I hope so too. It would be a much needed voice on the left.

Is it an idea for PSL or the Green Party to campaign during No Kings? There's probably some disillusioned democratic voters or non voters that can be persuaded.

[–] Cowbee@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 6 days ago

PSL's stance on the matter has consistently been to try to use them as good opportunities for agitating for more, and for recruitment.

[–] GrainEater@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 6 days ago

of course, they have to take any opportunities they can, and these "protests" are just letting people vent their anger without actually questioning capitalism

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 6 days ago

Saw PSL at a lot of protests on Instagram so they are at least there

German media is being disgusting again by celebrating the “martyrdom” of the israhelli hostages, while erasing palestinian suffering completely. They even mentioned controversies surrounding President Netanyahu and that “controversies” being - hold your horses - corruption. Hell I even heard that Turkey is the main sponsor hamas now.

Complete genocide denial. What an abhorrent clown show .

[–] pyromaiden@lemmygrad.ml 16 points 1 week ago

ironic calling them martyrs seeing as the only ones that died were killed by friendly fire

[–] Jarmund@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

To top the hipocrisy off, the israeli army, true to their "scorched earth" policy, set fire to the water treatment facility that was FUNDED by the germans

The regional comprador agents have been shaking hands firmly with their friends in the Zionist entity and Washington today. This "prisoner exchange" and these colonial peace talks are a distraction that aim achieve nothing but to prolong a status quo until it's no longer convenient. The real prisoners were always the Palestinians. To consider both sides "prisoners" on equal terms is a joke. We must never let this slide and always keep our eyes on occupied Palestine. Never stop talking about it, never stop protesting. Palestine forever.

[–] Mzuark@lemmygrad.ml 10 points 1 week ago

I'm just really amused at how we're no longer talking about how many prisoners were killed by the IDF.

[–] sinovictorchan@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 1 week ago

The fact that they are not directing all the blame on Palestinians is better than their stances to scapegoat other repressed groups in Western countries in their racist moral standards towards nations of people of color. Even then, I will still call out on the claim that both side suffer equally is unrealistic.

  • Palestinians are facing planned starvation and concentration camps unlike Israel settlers. - Israel forcebly took the land and housing of Palestinians without compensation unlike the Arabians who engaged in a slow assimilation of Hebrews in the former Israel kingdom.
  • Israel state complained that Hamas cannot use violence regardless of the repression that Palestians faced while Israel themselves claim that Israel can freely stage terrorist attacks against innocent civilians.
  • Israel claim that they are not accountable for any attacks that Israel deliberately made while blaming Palestinians for waging war to gain back the stolen land.
  • Israel's claim of right to ancestral land can also apply to Palestinians who have ancestors that reside in the ancient Israel kingdom.

Have a good week, everyone! Times are rough right now, but I encourage all of you to stay positive, persevere, keep up with whatever personal goals you have! In troubled times, our efforts are most important.

As always, comrades, communism will win.

Today 4 new F35 planes were supposed to be introduced to the country but one of them broke down on the way to here lmao can't make this shit up. Overpriced garbage.

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 17 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Never seen so many people at a strike. Must've been 120k+. Police says 80k+ but that doesn't make sense. Waited 1.5 hours in the back before I could even start walking.

Shoutout to people attacking the cops lmao mad lads

[–] Commiejones@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 1 week ago

Police estimates of protests are just silly in australia.

For the Palestine march across the Sydney harbor bridge the police officially told the media it was 90K, the day of they told in private to Palestine Action that there were 100k but independent researchers using AI for people counting estimated 225k on the low end and 300K at the high end which was what the protest organizers said as well.

Then a week later there was a far right march against immigration and the police said it was 15K when researchers say it was 3-8k.

Do libs think that Trump is some sort of lich and that once the Epstein Files/his phylactery are released he'll disintegrate?

[–] deathtoreddit@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 1 week ago

Libs thinks that the next best horrid revelation about Trump, no matter how much he brushes it off or seems affected by, would disintegrate him at any time

As usual, they have the {wilfully ignorant} memory of a goldfish, and I don't bother with them.

[–] Mzuark@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 1 week ago

They've developed this quasi-mythical image of Trump that he's a unique evil entity that was summoned by Obama stepping down and that we leftists put into power by not believing in Joe and Kamala hard enough.

General strike today in Belgium. Big protest march expected in Brussels. I will be there of course.

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 16 points 1 week ago

Kinda skipped the party prep and decided to do it with my place of work. And now I see the sign of the party comrades and they are all so wacky and quirky and meanwhile here I come with : fuck you NVA, No to NATO, fuck you genocidal fucks. And I'm noticing some differences.

I don't want a quirky sign tbh. I'm angry.

There's this Dutch streamer who makes mostly Goofy reaction vids and for some reason he went into climate policies and his chat went: 'but China pollutes so much!'

And his response was how China is the factory of the world and not only that but they invest the most in green energy, and should be allowed to have some more pollution for being, you know, our factory.

And I was like what the hell is this pro China talk doing outside of my commie bubble all of a sudden. Is change upon us?

[–] Commiejones@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 1 week ago

Reality has a pro-communist Bias. People who are not careful can accidentally spread communism by stating facts.

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 10 points 1 week ago

a reasonable view on china? in this economy!?

I feel like I should be happy about the Palestine ceasefire and yet I can't shake the feeling that it's not over.

[–] Commiejones@lemmygrad.ml 15 points 1 week ago

The resistance will not disarm and the zionists will not accept that so it is not over. The resistance have said they are staying on full alert and we should follow their lead. We can be happy for the individuals being released. We can be happy for food getting in and the starvation easing but there will be no peace until there is no zionist state.

I had my first day of trans group therapy session.

So far, so great.

I don't know when I'll start HRT but the deadline I set myself is the end of next year for when I start.

So the people rioting in Brussel at the protest the other day are said to be linked to the former CCC, a 'communist' terrorist group from years ago who did terror attacks. CCC has always been suspected to be a part of Operation Gladio.

It could literally he a psyop.

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 1 week ago (2 children)

So in a completely unsurprising turn of events Belgium has to follow strict EU budget cut rules.

EXCEPT FOR DEFENSE SPENDING. Which can be kept outside of the entire budget. For four more years.

So for four more years we can spend whatever we want on defense. But have to do budget cuts all around.

In four years we have elections. And with budget cuts done by neolibs there is a chance of getting some sort of left wing government then due to public outrage. Which in turn has no spending room because then defense spending gets taken into budget.
