My pick: The Silence of the Lambs

Literally never got the hype, it's an aggressively mid movie. Not scary. No deeper message. Just a snoozefest of a movie.

Bonus Pick: The Godfather

Although I did like the movie, I didn't think it was top tier like its commonly placed. There's a ton of pro-AmeriKKKan propaganda and undertones in it as well.

Bonus bonus pick: The Matrix

I can see why people enjoyed it, the themes are interesting first time around. I just found the action scenes and Keanu Reeves character incredibly cringy. Kind of ruined it for me.

Martin scorcesse films have to be the most boring ass shit out there yet they get an ungodly amount of hype and praise. Same with Tarantino, like why is Pulp Fiction that highly rated? While in comparison, Guy Ritchie movies are extremely underrated while being much funnier than Tarantino. How is Men From UNCLE barely a 7/10 lol

I like how Guy Ritchie films have a comedically Python level of title screens making sure you know it's a Guy Ritchie film.

as someone who likes the idea of "elevated horror" and wishes the movies ever turned out as good as people make them out to be, Hereditary and The Substance are some of the most overhyped piles of shit I've ever seen
