I just wanna play Ahri but for some reason they made it a requirement to hit these insanely hard charged heavy attacks in the middle of combos or you drop the combo.

It's ridiculous.

They made the character that's most appealing to casuals and women the hardest fucking shit to play in the game.

I've been trying to hit this for days and it's just not happening.

Imagine if Blizzard made a fighting game and they made the skin selling characters like Mercy/Kiriko/Juno the highest barrier to entry and hardest to play. That's the mistake Riot are making with Ahri in 2XKO.

Look at this shit: https://xcancel.com/Dakawalf/status/1976441102615085283#m

I can not for the life of me hit the charged heavy (6th hit in this combo but not the only one in the combo). It's not like you just hold the button, it's a precise 14 frame charge with a 3 frame release window.

Don't get me started on how the buffer doesn't work for the aerial dash after the projectile either.

You gotta do the projectile, spam your aerial dash because otherwise lack of the buffer for it will eat your input, then start the charged heavy and hit it precisely.

I'm so annoyed. I'm literally not better at this than when I started trying days ago. I'm not even new to fighters and nobody's going to call me casual.

There's literally no other character in the game that's remotely appealing to me either. I don't wanna play edgelord military commander knight or muscle man/lady. They're not my thing.

Can't believe they've marketed this as an "easier inputs" fighter because it doesn't have quarter circles for fireballs and whatever. This is much much harder than anything I've done in Street Fighter.

i installed it fucked around for a while and immediately uninstalled and booted up sf6

the walk speed alone was enough but it aint for me thats for sure

I don't think you're ever really supposed to walk in this game. All movement is done with the dash macro.

I do think approach is kinda one dimensional though, almost all approach involves someone jumping in while covering antiair with an assist tag.

Something to grind out. I can run an easier combo in the meantime until i get it down, which will take a while.

oh that looks absolutely criminal to actually try to hit

angry-hex

3 days practicing and I don't think I'm any better at it than when I started. It just doesn't work. Give me motion inputs over this any day, they are 100x easier than this shit.

what if it had motion inputs and fucked up links

Motion inputs are easier than this shit. You can't even charge a heavy during the buffer, it only counts the charge after the buffer. So inputting during the buffer period can really mess it up.

Also if I input dash+chargeheavy simultaneously after the aerial projectile it just drops the heavy entirely. It doesn't like it if I do it simultaneously. Feels kinda jank and like they need to add more edge-cases to the way the buffer works.

i mean that sounds like anime bullshit, stupid ass hard links for optimal damage
