We went yesterday and had a good time. It was very hot and there wasn't a lot of shade at the main stage, but we enjoyed walking around before the bands started and sitting in the shade closer to the smaller stages at the war museum.

There were food trucks and I think I paid $12 for a cider. There were plenty of portapotties. We were able to go to them between the last opener and the headliner (45 mins) with time to spare. I didn't get bit by mosquitoes all night!

We were happy to have brought water and chairs. We sat during some of the earlier performers (and watched screens) and stood for the headliner. In general people didn't really stand in front of the seated area, but there were a few. People were taking though the headliner in the standing only section which we thought was weird and annoying. Probably not that unusual at a festival where most people may not be as into a particular band.

Moving around the main stage to access the rest of the festival could be annoying and there was some crowding and pushing but overall people were chill and just having a good time. We left immediately after the encore and while it was crowded, getting onto the LRT was straight forward and there were lots of signs and staff to show the way.

The merch line yesterday was ridiculously long. Weezer was a good show!

Personal update: I went last night for Foo Fighters and it was horrendous. Worst Bluesfest experience to date and I've been attending consistently for what feels like ages.

The line to get in was big but efficient. Food took 40+ minutes. Bathroom line took 20 mins.

I hated how/where the stage was set up and the sound was awful where I could finally nab a spot.

The worst part was the crowd-- everyone seemed oblivious to why they were there (to see a band) and just had exceedingly loud conversations. I couldn't even hear Dave speak because the crowd talking around me totally drowned him out. Part could be the bad sound also. I mean I don't expect you to be quiet but why are you in the middle of a crowd yelling "so, where are you from ? Where'd you go to school?" Go to a bar?!

Maybe I'm just old now but man I was frustrated!

Great show but the queue (can't really call it a lineup) to get in was absurd. We got there at 7:15 but didn't get in until 8:00. I could see that the crowd behind us grew to the point that it began on the other side of Wellington.

Enjoyed Billy Talent and Thundercat. Something was off with the sound mixing for Weezer and Pup though.

Food and drink were reasonably priced for festivals and was good. We got their early so no big lines until later.
