$1,000 for a signed version of the Bible better be signed by god herself.

I doubt Alanis would align herself with this.

From the article:

The Trump Bible uses the King James text, takes its name from the patriotic country song by Lee Greenwood, and also includes the Constitution of the United States, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and the Pledge of Allegiance as additional content.

I thought I’d quote that because the bible doesn’t have amendments.

Also, this… book… is

missing amendments 11th to 27th

and not just 13, 19, and 22, as the description makes you believe.

The Bible has multiple amendments.

Wouldn't want students learning that the Constitution is a living document, meant to be amended throughout time.

Edit: also fucking stupid because amendments 1-10 were ratified like four years after the Constitution was ratified lmao. They're so fucking stupid.

The Constitution must NOT be Changed or Reinterpreted! The Founders MEANT EVERYTHING they said!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wicked_Bible

The Wicked Bible, sometimes called the Adulterous Bible or the Sinners' Bible, is an edition of the Bible published in 1631 by Robert Barker and Martin Lucas, the royal printers in London, meant to be a reprint of the King James Bible. The name is derived from a mistake made by the compositors: in the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:14, the word "not" was omitted from the sentence, "Thou shalt not commit adultery".

Second time as farce

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

So it only includes the Bill of Rights?

The ones ending slavery and giving women the right to vote contradict what's in the text of the Bible itself, so why would they be included?

Maybe they’re thick enough to stop a school shooter’s bullet?

Give Oklahoma back to the indigenous and send the whites to Texas.
