Now now, let's not make a false equivalency. Democrats want you to be a wage slave, while Republicans want you to be a regular slave. Cruelty is the point for Republicans, but merely a regrettable necessity for Democrats. The dems aren't all bad, and can actually nice when they aren't being incentivized not to be: Democrats will be mean to you if it means they get money and power, where as Republicans will spend money and power for the opportunity to be mean to you. So there really are important distinctions here...

This is actually sort of a proven fact with few exceptions just statistically speaking. The US generally never passes any laws that the billionaires oppose and only passes them if they approve.

I've been saying for years that voting for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil. And, doing that, which we have been doing for decades, is how we got where we are. Those in power now are the ones who learned to use TV, radio, and now the internet to divide, drive and herd us using fear and propaganda. Looking back, it seems inevitable we'd end up where we are, and crystal clear this was the long-con intent for the past 60 years.

I can't imagine what will happen when Trump (or Vance, if Trump keels over) cancels elections in three years.
