Please note the following:

* All chatrooms are linked together. If you join one room your messages will be copied to the other platforms.

* Matrix is an open source and potentially distributed chat protocol. The matrix room listed is hosted on matrix.org, a somewhat centralized hub for a lot of currently public rooms. Though the protocol itself is free, libre and open source, the deployment of the protocol resembles a centralized service. This may be fixed in the future with the deployment of independent servers.

* Be aware that both Telegram and Discord are centralized proprietary platforms and do not necessarily protect your rights nor privacy while simultaneously giving power to corporations.

Hey same bullshit reason my CEO used until he realized 80% of IT would quit without at least a generous hybrid schedule.

Relationship building in this city = the contents of your wallet --> someone else's

“Improving workplace culture” is just an excuse for “I’m too lazy to learn more ways or adopt new ways to get to know other people and will just stick to what I know from school, where we’re all forced to be with and see each other.”

Too bad there's no evidence supporting the claim outside of the imagination of ignorant managers

Unless of course the culture they want to maintain is one of oppression and authoritarian hierarchical control

They don't like remote work because they gambled on expensive office parks and have to worry about written or audio recordings when they try to coerce working staff, if this change can be forced they need a better union
