He is still there, he will be the chairman of the company, if it bumps in numbers he still gains. The boycott should stand till he is gone from the company.

Angela Collier is a predominantly science based YouTube content creator but she had an interesting video on how Target shot itself in the foot by alienating their core customer base. She initially thought it would be hard to give up her regular Target visits but after the DEI debacle prompted her to boycott, she realized that she didn't need any of the crap she was buying from them. I don't think any new CEO is going to be able to convince her, or millions of similar customers, that she actually does need that crap.
