ProtonVPN blocks DuckDuckGo on Windows, but not on Mac (lemmy.world)

Having a weird issue and hoping to get help.

I use DuckDuckGo as my search engine. When I turn on ProtonVPN on my Windows machine, DDG is unreachable. I've tried switching nodes, but every time the same thing happens: It lets me access DDG for a few minutes and then totally blocks it.

But on my Mac, everything is working great. I can access DDG even with ProtonVPN turned on.

Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix?

Maybe something to do with net shield? make sure your using the same server. Is it just ddg as well? Works fine for me on MacOS also.
