Noticed a few things here:

-They're still advertising UPC Plus which means there probably hasn't been any changes from the Fold4. Software processing for the camera might be different though.

-They're not advertising Eco² OLED which means it's probably still using an Eco² OLED Plus display. I was hoping for a third generation since they announced a brighter inner display. That probably means it's the same panel found in the Fold4 which was likely artificially limited, similar to what Samsung did with the S21 Ultra and S22 Ultra.

-The fold testing numbers are the same compared to the Fold4 found here. They did manage to maintain the same durability with a new waterdrop hinge at least.

Also if you were wondering, the Flip5 crease is similar to the Flip4, while the Fold5 crease feels a lot more subtle compared to the Fold4. I had hands-on with the Flip5 for a few days, and currently have a Fold5 review unit, all provided by Samsung.

I always find these flip/fold phones to be interesting, but not to the extent that I've considered owning one..🤷🏻‍♂️

I've been daily driving a Fold3 since launch and while I love it and it's the right device for me, I highly doubt they will ever catch on as the mainstream choice, regardless of display/form factor advancements.

I was the guy that carried a phone and a tablet basically everywhere for years, then used a Note9 for years which wasn't quite big enough to replace the tablet so I went all in on the Fold3 after a couple of generations of working out he kinks with the Fold 1 and 2.

Now I'm stuck buying expensive folding phones for the rest of time because I don't think I can ever go back to a flat device.

The folds & flips have their place, & their appeal, with the folds, at least having that, dual form versatility. Its always good to have choices..

I didn't really mind the crease on the Fold 4 when I was trying out in the store, so hearing that it's a bit lesser on the Fold 5 is nice.
