The fediverse is a vast interconnected space of small social networks of varying quality, housing countless communities of users, who, for one reason or another, chose to proliferate their ideas throughout with very little chance of high engagement and popularity.
On this wild frontier of digital despair and perversity stands a community that against all odds reached a cult status in just 2 years since it was established by qrstuv on a platform hosted by SDF.
In late spring of 2025 I sought out the elusive founder, moderator and prolific content creator of Funhole - the first and only hole on SDF exclusively for fun content, with the sole intention of interviewing him.
In the eyes of many creators and consumers of content, qrstuv presents a mystical enigma. Despite being surrounded by a large amount of misconceptions, theories and hatred, Funhole's founder through his own work and effort garnered a following and inspired lonesome souls of the fediverse to create and engage with exclusive content. Something the fediverse is often criticized for lacking.
Many consider his own content to be highly divisive, even evoking states of frenzy in some, but upon closer examination, one might realize that qrstuv's genius lies in his unparalleled understaning of the fundamental processes that make up interaction with digital content and the human desire to click on things and be clicked upon.
What follows is the unedited conversation I had with qrstuv. I hope that it may lift the veil, if only just a little bit, that conceals one of the most important content creators of the digital age.
