General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

And continues to spread fear for simple rowers.

Still we have no opposition pointing out how fucking stupid he is to fear rowing. So more will come from non MPs.

He called the police then the coastguard. Wasting all off Thier time. Without even bothering to check the public AIS record transmitted from such boats.

Using his position as an MP to bully a response the agencies knew was not needed.

It's not complex and well documented. Any MP who considered small boats a genuine issue has 0 excuse not to have learnt about AIS identification and safety protocols.

He is no more then a dangerouse idiot desperately looking to matter.

"Vigilant" synonym "Careful". Man is so vigilant he doesn't even investigate the meaning of words before using them.

In fairness, he might be well educated, but that does not make him bright.

This has made Rupert Lowe look very silly.
