Also, while it's probably true that most people who identify as non-binary and also as a woman or girl use she/they or they/she pronouns, you could literally use he/him pronouns (or any other) and still identify as both. The whole point here is that there aren't really rules about how someone can feel about their gender.
no you're totally right. as a NB i jokingly call myself a "he/they" or a they as a tongue-in-cheek shorthand for identity (so do a lot of my NB friends w/ their own pronouns) but pronouns =/= gender identity
My wife and I are both women and non-binary so it's definitely possible
Yeah honestly people can use all sorts of labels, and I don't think it makes sense to assume any given label is misgendering just because they're being applied to someone who is non-binary. My partner is non binary but still identifies as a mom, for example.
Basedball
Man has it been a minute since I’ve heard that name
Fucking right? I had the same reaction.
Based on some of the struggle sesh bait that keeps cropping up, I doubt they ever left.
Probably was the one the other day about why we don't have an israel-cool emoji
Agreed, I have 2 non-binary partners right now, one likes being called my girlfriend the other prefers the term partner. The bit itself is bad, but the poster used she/they pronouns for this fictional person, girlfriend isn't necessarily misgendering
Quantum-genders
Union types etc etc
I don't think you're entirely wrong, but to me it came across as them ignoring a non-binary partner's gender rather than the partner being a non-binary girl, especially with them only referring to the partner as "she"
The post used "them" in the second paragraph, though.
