That's unbelievable. If there are any doubts left that we are in a civil war, this should put them to bed.

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said that the country is in the midst of a “second American Revolution” that will be bloodless “if the left allows it to be.”
So far so good, I guess…
Ya, while I like seeing you guys down there out holding protests, I think it's a little late in the game at this point. The Christian Nationalists have already stolen the keys to America, and they have no intention of giving them back because of a witty sign.
The protests are not to convince the fascists to stop, they won't. It's to help show to others that there are millions against this out in the open public ally defying the new regime, so that others aren't afraid to stand up as well.
It helps shape public opinion, especially if the police brutalize peaceful protesters.
It's a place to build connections for future resistance as well.
It's one piece of a larger puzzle, in addition to unionizing in preparation for a general strike, and building local community for prefiguration and to be better able to resist.
Sure, there's still some value in the protests, but that's only one of the first steps. Meanwhile project 2025 is already nearly halfway to the finish line. https://www.project2025.observer/en
Please don't take that as any form of defeatism or anything. I know you guys can do this and win, but every day counts... and they had this planned for a long time.
The only other option is civil war, which relies on the militarily joining the rebellion, otherwise it would be a massacre if done openly, or simply become similar to The Troubles if done underground.
We're hoping the non violent general strike works instead.
I'm rooting for you, no matter what happens.
Not the person you replied to but it's so incredibly upsetting and disheartening to see so many people shitting on us on top of everything that is already happening to us (not to diminish the effect that exists on everyone outside of the US of course).
Thank you
Appreciate it :)
Don't be so defeatist. The US military has been proven time and again to not be the masters of asymmetrical warfare they would have you believe they are.
I'm not being defeatist. I'm saying in a straight up open confrontation, civilians would lose without the military fracturing with them.
The Troubles is asymmetrical guerrilla warfare, which is sustainable, but very costly and certainly something to avoid if possible.
It's only a war if we fight back.
So far all we've done is collectively furrowed our brows, wagged our fingers at them, and bitched from behind the safety of our keyboards, myself included.
Until we actually take some kind of action it's just an ideological extermination.
The next step is a general strike. If you currently work in an non union job, consider contacting the IWW. They'll train you to become an effective organizer to unionize your workplace, so that the general strike is more effective.
Yeah, war implies two sides fighting.
Edit: tried to edit for grammar but replied to my own comment instead
You have to be a special kind of stupid to be a cop and a Republican. Same goes for military.
These guys don't give a fuck about you.
