Personally I am living for the next time I hang out with one of my "friends". I don't really know them all that well, but they seem interested in getting together and playing factorio with me. Just remember you don't have to have long term, grand reasons for sticking around.

Some day (likely soon based on his health), our great leader will die.

I love my wife, kid, and my pet.

What's currently worth living for? My current hyper fixation.

Knowing that I get a small amount of time every day to obsess over something that brings me joy.

Whatever you decide. If other peoples behaviour is making you question living (e.g. corrupt politicians) I'd recommend stopping having other people's behaviour be part of your reason to live.

Find your own reason, anything, collecting every stamp ever printed in 1954, whatever! We all die in the end, the important thing is to figure out what you like doing while you're here and then do that for as long as you're enjoying it.

I mean, the reason can be bringing about political change if you want, just bring that inside you and your control and act on it, the reason should not involve other people (although it can if they consent, e.g. my wife and I currently have the project of raising our son and buying a house, and that's our mutual project at the moment).

I have so many things I’m looking forward to.

  • when I start my YouTube, will it grow?
  • can I make my homestead self sufficient over the next several years?
  • Seeing my dad again when he can visit.
  • traveling the world (when I can afford it)
  • hoping the world steps up against fascism
  • how much rain water can I collect form just my solar panels (hopefully enough to shower) once I finished welding the rack for them.

there’s so many short term and long term things I’m excited about.

Walking the path

To me: my wife, my cats, my hobbies, interesting tv shows and books, learning new things, sitting in a green space and feeling the warm sun or a cool breeze.

Sometimes you have to do something for yourself and take a mental pause and enjoy some moments.

I like photography because it forces you to slow down a bit and seeing photos mentally takes me back there.

I don’t know what place you’re asking from, but consciously building perspective is important.

Read and get really invested in A Song of Fire and Ice book series, then just make commitment to surviving until the next book comes out.

I could not get into reading them, but I’ve been listening to LoTR on audiobook (which I still call books on tape).

Maybe I just suck at reading but audiobooks seem to work well for me, as long as I’ve got something to occupy my hands.
