my name is soliman i’m a young man and a student from gaza carrying a burden way bigger than my age between my studies and the harsh life around me i try to stay strong for my family and help them through these hard times

we used to have a small farm with olive and citrus trees and a greenhouse where we planted not just vegetables but our dreams too that farm was everything to us our only source of income and a place filled with memories and laughter that made life a bit easier

but everything disappeared in a moment a fire destroyed it all and left us with nothing no income no stability and a huge part of us was lost with it

now even with all the pain i’m trying to start again i’m doing everything i can to keep my family standing and find even a small light of hope to bring back some strength and dignity

i’m sharing this story with hope maybe it reaches a kind person who can help us or even just share it with someone who can we are living through famine right now and not everyone has received aid yet and it will take time for help to reach everyone we need money to buy food and water some things entered gaza through donations and international aid but they are limited and expensive

if you’re able to support us in any way here’s our gofundme link

every share every kind word every small donation means a lot to us

thank you so much for reading and for standing with us

Thank you for your thoughtful words and for caring about the people of Gaza.

I completely understand your caution — you’re absolutely right that some people sadly exploit this crisis for personal gain.

But for people like me, who are actually living through the war and facing real famine, it’s heartbreaking that we also have to fight to be believed.

I’m not asking out of comfort or ease. My family has lost everything, and I’m trying to keep them alive — food, water, medicine — the basics have become luxuries.

I respect and even encourage support through organizations like UNRWA — we rely on them, too — but sometimes their aid doesn’t reach everyone or takes too long.

That’s why I’m reaching out directly — not to replace charities, but to fill the desperate gap in between.

Thank you again for your concern. Even if you can’t donate, your empathy means a lot. And I hope someday, people like me won’t need to ask strangers for help just to survive.

Tricky situation, and certainly NOT something you want to be wrong about, but, sadly, very evil or very desperate people are using this situation to scam people ... I am not saying this is a scam, I'm just pointing out that sadly, we do need to be weary -

Thoughts and prayers (whatever good they may or may not do) with the people Gaza, and all Palestinians, but in the same way I give to local missions and shelters rather than directly to homeless I encounter, my support for those suffering goes through UNRWA and any other organization I can be 99% confident and sure about.
