The meme is asserting that as Dark Souls and Stardew Valley are the origin games which were immensely improved upon in their successors: Elden Ring and Haunted Chocolatier.

That metaphor was meaningless too me, I just kept thinking they were trying to make a confused statement on difficulty or something
Likewise, especially with the title being about stress. I know some people want to take Stardew slow and find some of the timed bits or rushing to repair the community center stressful, and I mentally linked that with difficulty.
How does anyone know? The game hasn't even been released yet as far as I'm aware.

This is the dumbest fucking comparison. There are much better ways to say "This is a culmination of all the work the studio has done in a bigger and better way."
I do wonder how many clicks would have been gotten if they wrote this in a normal way. It's really sad that people write in clickbaity manners, but if your revenue depends on views… Not sure how payment works for articles though.
