This is amazing! I'm so glad other countries are picking up manned space flight. And it's not just some suborbital launch but actually docking with the space station

Edit: I understand that it isn't on an ISRO rocket but it looks like they're trying to get manned space flight experience to work towards it themselves

Looks like it was a paid seat on a commercial space x launch. Still good news but less impressive I think.

He's flying on a SpaceX Falcon 9 that is launching from the US.

True. It should be notes though that India has its own "Gaganyaan" space capsule with it's HLVM3 rocket. First uncrewed test flight hopefully 4Q this year and first manned fight planned for early 2027. But there have been delays before - space is hard.
