I've noticed the artificial delay at the start of videos, but I'd still rather have that than 20 seconds of unskippable ads

If you're lucky it's only 20 seconds. Seen tons of double ads at the front and ads interspersed in the video. Most egregious was roughly a minute at the start and 2 30-sec ads during a single song (~3 and 1/2 minute song)

When will people get the idea to start building their fanbase outside of YouTube and uploading to another location? I mean, we have nebula and dropout but it needs to be a more mass movement.
