MAJOR ORDER: The remnant Illuminate forces have evaded Justice. Some of their remote bases endure. The unprovoked Illuminate assault on Super Earth will never be forgotten. Justice for the Illuminate atrocities has not been averted—merely postponed, for a greater and more immediate threat has emerged in the Galactic War: Massive Terminid outbreaks erupted simultaneously across multiple Super Earth cities.

This unprecedented assault of Fascism into highly-populated areas puts millions of citizens in grave danger. The Helldivers must respond immediately. Repel the Terminid invasion from our cities.

... Massive Terminid outbreaks erupted simultaneously across multiple Super Earth cities.

This is a weird way to word it because it sounds like Super Earth is under attack again, but it is still safe, thanks to the brave Helldivers. The comms officer responsible for this confusion is likely a dissident and should be sent to a Freedom Camp.

I agree, thats literally what I thought it meant while I was at work. I was like

"I KNEW THOSE SQUIDS WERE UP TO SOMTHING NEFARIOUS! ITS NEVER THAT SIMPLE WITH THE DAMN SQUIDS!"

Thankfully, I was mistaken, I should have known the Illuminate weren't smart enough to know they'd lose on Super Earth. As it turns out, their autocratic intentions weren't all that mysterious after all.

Nearly every "bug in the city" mission I've done has a SAM Site as a secondary objective.

Why?

I would have also accepted "For Democracy"

The bugs evolved a new giant flyer.

Yay, I was wondering if we'd get bugs in cities or bots in cities first.

These are pretty good so far! Now I can't help but wonder if we'll ever get frontier\rural missions with the Illuminate

I'm glad the game kept the city missions. I'm scared of those city held bars.

So do we have buggos on the super earth type cities

[–] GhostlyPixel@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Edit: I was wrong, bug super cities are playable now

Yes, soon, but the cities are on the listed planets, not Super Earth

I don’t think the listed planets have been attacked yet, probably in the next day or two

(All five are at the bottom, currently liberated)

[–] FlihpFlorp@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yes I probably phrased that badly

What I meant to say are other planets getting the super earth mega cities

Also thanks for the handy little graphic can’t wait

[–] GhostlyPixel@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I think I was mistaken btw, seeing reports of two planets with one mega city each already playable

Go squish some bugs!

[–] FlihpFlorp@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago

I just saw that too lmao

Excited we’re gonna have mega cities. Hoping we get some flag for it like the incin corps, and predator strain
