I hope not. I hope that lemmy doesn’t grow any heavier than it is growing right now. The content is good, it’s enough, most threads have good comments. I don’t want this to become another Reddit. Lemmy is really good as is.

Nothing would help peertube because the quality of content get better. People will quickly leave peertube

he was doing it for clout, he came back doing vlogs on youtube like last year, hes probably missing all that money when he was still big, after retiring because he was found to support nazis. one of his older comments really irked people, his support of youtube aggressive ads last decade too.
he fled to japan to avoid the criticism in the us, think about that, its a classic tactic people in the us avoid controversies do.
around the same a bunch other influencers got all kinds of wierd cringey stuff outed about them.
I don't see how switching country helps to run away from the internet.

asia doesnt care as much as the west about drama, hence he would be relatively unknown there.
