The large majority of people, especially internationally, have no clue why anyone would call them awful. I would suspect a slight grasp at sympathy? Maybe a rebranding to get their careers rolling again? Whatever the reason, it is working, they are trending ever so slightly and pulling Chris Rock into their shit.

This is why celebrity couples are not real couples. Most likely it's about necessity. It's like monastic or aristocratic coupling. It's not a real relationship per se. It's a front, to keep up appearances. We see how well that went.
