It's called a chemical eye wash station for a reason. Those are the eye washing chemicals.
It's just a saline solution. It's curroding its container. It has to be left on reserve. Otherwise, it wouldn't be available. It should be changed, though. Everything is made of chemicals. You need to worry about how things react.
Dihydrogen monoxide is just the worst.
