Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

It's because he made a deal with Ukraine instead of mining national parks and "on the verge of war" with Iran. Also she thinks Covid vaccines should be pulled. In other words, he's not awful enough for her.

I thought you were being hyperbolic, but no. She's losing support and she thinks it's because trump isn't extreme enough.

“I represent the base and when I’m frustrated and upset over the direction of things, you better be clear, the base is not happy,” she wrote in a lengthy post on X.

what an entitled piece of shit. After what she did to that british journalist no media should give her any attention

“I represent the base and when I’m frustrated and upset over the direction of things, you better be clear, the base is not happy,”

Such a conceited statement. But probably accurate. They are all sharing like 3 braincells, her and her entire electorate.

This gonna be good.

She said: “When you are losing MTG, you are losing the base. And Trump isn’t on the ballot in the future, so do the math on that.”

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 17 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Someone do the math for me, I genuinely have no idea what she's implying.

[–] theneverfox@pawb.social 24 points 1 week ago

It sounds like she's declaring herself the successor to Trump, or at least the kingmaker

[–] Hegar@fedia.io 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No base + no trump = socialism? I think that's about the level of numeracy on the far right?

She is right about one thing. Trump plans on being president past January 2029, and if he manages it he won't need to be on any ballot to do it....

I don't know why she's upset. Trump has lied and taken every possible side on just about every issue. He has absolutely no consistency or credibility and everyone knows that, even if they may lie to themselves about it.

Whatever Trump does is what you signed up for if you didn't vote for Harris.

[–] blakenong@lemmings.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I have no idea what’s going on, but I bet when I read why it’s just going to be her being upset to be upset.

[–] Zippygutterslug@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

"Trump is tanking the country but not hard enough, as you can see in the polls." That's not a direct quote obviously, but it's the summation of MTG's position.

All your base… 🎵

She represents the bottom. The absolute bottom. As low as you can possibly go.

What now? Can't she think of any more random bogeymen from the other camp that she can blame for whatever with some fantasy stories?

What a spineless coward this wretched pos is.

I hope all these disgusting brutes get what they deserve in the end.

[–] DrFistington@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Yeah bitch, it's way too late for you to try and avoid what's coming
