Is it not cool to know where to aim for a clean shot when hunting?
I don’t think I’ve seen hunting content on Lemmy before, but who knows, maybe there are people who are interested in it. I have never hunted, but I guess I technically learned something from it myself.
I personally do hunt for meat, and it is very important to kill cleanly in one shot.
I'm interested in it.
I've never fired a weapon at a live animal larger than a house fly, but I have played hunting games and this is useful information.
Why not aim for the head? Is it too hard to hit?
Generally, yes. A deer's head is much more likely to move than its torso, so its more likely you'll miss. Worse yet, you could hit the deer and miss the brain, just injuring it.
A safe shot is as depicted, hitting the heart and/or both lungs.
Another point is that your weapon of choice pretty much doesn't matter. This guide can be used for everything from spears to high powered rifles.
