This is a bit of a different situation. This is an emperialist war, and Ukrainian side fights for the fundamental right to exist, and Russian side fights for their selfish interests and to kill people.
A big portion of people on Russian side are there willingly, they made a choice knowing full well all the consequences, and had multiple opportunities to make another, morally and materially correct decision, but didn't.
