How is it called in English when the button has a hole in the shape of the letter and that hole is filled with transparent plastic?

If it is the two-step injection mold process that is double shot.

I'd call them shine-through keycaps or backlit keycaps if I had to search for them

Engraving isn't a hole, more like scratching on the surface, isn't it? In my case you can see through. Not much but definitely you can see light.
