The promised features of the swamp, which lost the 2019 vote, arrived in 2022. Three losing biomes remain unimplemented. They are not forgotten, but are clearly low priority with no timeframe.
They can't exactly put any more on the pile until they finish up what they promised in the first place.
I can imagine that there are too many biomes without enough content, so they'll try to get more mobs into old biomes first
They should reconsider canceling the birch forest biome update, that one looked really promising.
