Hi all. I am from the United States, and I understand that insurance most likely will not cover hypnotherapy. Being that it'll be out of pocket, and fairly expensive, I wanted to see if anybody here had any positives or negatives with respect to using hypnotherapy. My main goal with this type of therapy would be to address my focus and memory with regard to my ADHD. Thank you!

4 months late but my clinical supervisor had training in hypnotherapy, though she said she didn't get to practice it as often as she'd have liked. It can be a useful tool! Like any tool, you'll need more than one to build a house. The most important thing about hypnosis is the will to believe. You gotta be willing to cede control and let things happen in order to fully participate. Your readiness in that aspect will likely help determine results.
