Ukrainian Invisibility Cloak for the Defense Forces - victory technology from Brave1.

Ukrainians have created a super defense against Russian thermal imaging cameras and drones with thermal imaging cameras. The cloak blocks the radiation of heat and makes the fighters invisible to the enemy. For example, our snipers or CCO groups performing combat missions.

The design is compact and light — weight up to 2.5 kg. It has high protection against rain and wet snow. Also, the raincoat does not burn and protects against high temperatures. The video shows a finished sample that has successfully been tested in the field.

The invisibility cloak is just one of the developments that will help save the lives of our soldiers at the front. More is needed. If you work on projects in the field of defense, submit them through the Brave1 platform.

The U.S. has had them for years, the problem is that heat builds up inside until either the person in it gets cooked or the cloaking fails.

Yes, it only works temporarily, or requires some additional clever means of carrying the body heat away in a less obvious way, such as ventilation. You can't fool nature (i. e. thermodynamics).

That's how winter clothing works, in a nutshell. Eventually, all heat generated by the body needs to be shed; with better insulation, that equilibrium shifts towards a higher temperature on the inside.

Doesn't, like, an aluminum blanket do that?

Blocking IR is easy, but it needs to be wearable, rugged, and camouflaged.
