You can try alternative frontends, like Alexandrite or Photon.
I love Alexandrite, the theme should be inclueded in the default UI.
I feel like Photon's dark mode is too dark. :(
He did update it yesterday. Maybe try a revisit?

There are a few scripts for use with tampermonkey (a user scripting plugin) that I find very helpful. Specifically LemmyTools and lemmy-keyboard-navigation.
If you use old.lemmy.world that has the old Reddit style with several RES features embedded.
