Just accept that Ubuntu uses Snap for its packages. Same as other distros use other packages solutions.
Man, ubuntu has gotten so bad in past years. I wanted to hop a distro (a long time user) but couldn't get the live environment load. Any other ubuntu derivative works just fine. But not ubuntu.
Unpopular opinion: Ubuntu was always kinda bad
you know you can uninstall and purge snap and everything related to it and still use Ubuntu

Straight up opposite experience here. Snaps work great for me.
Mint would be the primary choice for a non-snap *buntu.
