I went to Beijing and noticed young people in the stores and coffee shops who worked there sometimes would put red armbands when they saw me. It felt creepy. It's a shame their culture has been so shaped by authoritarianism. (Obviously it's not just China that has this issue, btw). Ultimately the majority of the people I met were absolutely lovely. Truly terrifying experience Junjie had. Poor kid. Definitely can see that shit happening there, though.

Troublemakers: Drugged, Framed and Detained -- (Alternative Invidious link, 49 min)
This in-depth investigation reveals how the [Chinese] police found ways to [...] to punish protestors without going through the criminal justice system. With almost no checks and balances, the number of people being illegally sent to psychiatric hospitals is said to be surging.
Testimonies from three protestors, detained for months in secure psychiatric wards reveal how they were restrained, forcibly treated with psychoactive drugs and even subjected to electric shock therapy.
Their crime? “Picking quarrels and troublemaking” - the catch all offence police use to sweep up anyone threatening disturb “social harmony”.
And it is hypocritical propaganda. They do it right here in Europe. They did it to me!
I'm really upset that's happend to you. I'd recommend contacting a news network not operated in Europe if you're afraid of corruption/ repercussions.
Thanks.
Both the report and the documentary are, of course, reliable information. It happened in China as reported.
And I experienced it myself! In Europe! Where's the documentary about this reality in Europe? I was tied nude to a bed and injected with drugs without consent. Again, in Europe, not in China.
I posted for what there is apparent evidence. It happened in China, that's what we know. There is no reason for whataboutism. You are free to post other incidents if there is evidence.
I have evidence.
Post it or I end this discussion.
It is in any case personally identifiable. I would talk to journalists.
Then do so and we’ll post the link to their story here when we see it.
They won't do that here. It's all corrupt here. If you want this story I have to go to China or somewhere else probably. For the "weapon". Because this is the Brits weaponizing reality.
Fuck off tankie
I'm literally just someone who was illegally incarcerated like this in the article, but in Europe. They tied me down nude to a bed and injected me with drugs without consent.
I grew up as an anti-authoritarian dissenting voice, and still am, for which I suffered subversion. I am most definitely not an authoritarian.
You are rather the authoritarian, normalizing what is done by authorities in Europe!
