Any recommendation for an 8-inch tablet? I currently have a Samsung A7 Lite and it's a decent enough tablet for light tasks but wouldn't mind getting something with more -- everything, other than screen size.

If you get any decent recommendations for a 7 inch tab with more than 32gig of storage let me know. My daughters tablet is full and to go bigger and stay samsung I need to go to a 10 inch or buy her a smartphone.

If you also have an A7 Lite it has an SD expansion slot so you can get more storage. I got my kids A7 Lites awhile back and threw in an extra 128 GB SD card in each.

I chucked in a 256 gig and it wont recognise it as internal storage. I googled it and tried all the options but it still wont recognise it as internal storage.

Maybe I went too big.

Lenovo y700 2023 should be arriving in the next few weeks. 8.8" though. Gaming tablet so high specs. Previous version (also the Lenovo y700) was only released in China though so not sure if this one is getting a global release?

This sounds fantastic but breaking the 8" barrier also breaks my pants pockets...

On the lower end of specs, cheaper, but rock solid, I've really liked my Galaxy Tab Active3. Even had a really good built in pressure sensitive stylus. Works well for quick sketches (not creating masterpieces)

Seconding this recommendation. We’re using one as a chartplotter on our sailboat, and it works great.

I find around the 8” mark to be the perfect tablet size. However, not a lot of good options out there, especially for more high end hardware. If money is not an issue, a foldable might do it?
