@phillycodehound@lemmy.world

Please remove your advertisement from the ADHD community. Its clearly stated in the sidebar that advertisements are not allowed.

It sucks that I have to appeal to support because an admin broke the rules and I have no means of managing it myself as the community moderator.

I removed it and I'm very sorry didn't think things through

I shouldn't have put the affiliate link in. I thought the event would be a benefit. Again I am sorry and wasn't trying to be a dick.

[-] MrPoopyButthole@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago

Thanks, but its still there for me and I don't see anything in the mod log to show it was removed?

[-] phillycodehound@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

I'm trying everywhere to delete the damn post. I titled it deleted and took out any mention of the link.

[-] RogueBanana@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 year ago

Same for me but it also shows a lock symbol from connect but I can see an option to reply so not sure what that means, can anyone tell me what it is?

[-] MrPoopyButthole@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

The locked symbol is showing that the thread is locked for new comments

Tried a test comment and got the error code afterwards. Seems like a connect thing and not lemmy. Thanks.

I agree. Was impulsive and didn't read the directions. What a surprise for ADHD.

Seriously sorry being a mod sucks...

Based on the username and affiliate link it looks like he runs an internet marketing company? Sus...

From their bio: "Fmr. journalist, turned podcaster, digital marketer, agency owner. I love tech, especially Open Source Tech!"

Lemmy needs to let mods and admins post without distinguishing themselves.

[-] M_Reimer@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Any updates on this topic? Can someone at least give a comment? Is it really accepted that admins break rules established on communities?

[-] Ryumast3r@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Admin deleted their post and responded in this thread that it wasn't on purpose.

[-] zeropublix@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 year ago

Is it just me or is the post down ?

[-] XTornado@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 year ago

It worked for me.
