Oops, another map that coincidentally identifies the Bible Belt.

Offensively subjective!

Maine's coast has a surly beauty that California's can't match.

Edit: Or do they mean the shape of the state? Because a perfect rectangle is kinda nice, I guess...

Edit 2, the squeaquel: Or do they mean the attractiveness of the average individual in the state? Because I cannot make heads or tails of those metrics.

Lol yes, it's supposed to be the people

...I live in NJ and I find this extremely unbelievable! I found it more believable when I thought this was about natural beauty for like parks and stuff!

Now if that were true Arkansas would be much more attractive it's got some amazing state parks. Like the one redeeming feature of the entire state.

A lot of states have some amazing parks, its something the usa does pretty well is the parks! I'd love to visit more of them, and I visited a lot as a kid!

I was surprised too, as was every article I found about the data while looking for the source.

Some local NJ news/radio site was loving it.

I'm going to blame this on North Jersey, as is my God given right to blame everything on them!

I guess it's somewhat telling that that falls to my third guess of which beauty is considered noteworthy.

Exactly, personally those perfectly chiseled corners of Colorado get me all hot and bothered.

As someone from Alaska, I can say with absolute certainty that this is bullshit if we're talking about the physical attractiveness of the residents. No way we should be this close to the top.

It’s not about attractiveness of the people but how people feel about moving to the state

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It is about how attractive the people are. It was from some job search website.

the winter heating bills will provide sufficient motivation for most.

OH. I was so confused lol

[–] Mediocre_Bard@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Is this how fuckable each state is? I have some disagreements.

I’ve never seen so many fat people in such a short time as in the Kansas City Missouri airport so this tracks
