Protesting takes boldness, it's not a risk-free activity. If your heart is really in it, then having to do it under your real name isn't going to stop you.

Regarding chalking, I think

Non-water soluble, semi-permanent, and permanent substances, including spray-chalk, is not permitted on any University surface
