As requested by some users: 'old' style now accessible via https://old.lemmy.world

Code can be found here: https://github.com/rystaf/mlmym , created by Ryan (Is he here?) (Yes he appears to be! @nnrx@sh.itjust.works ! Thanks for this awesome front-end!)

Ooh! Old Reddit style. Noice!

This is great!

Excellent idea, would certainly help ease the transition for folks who have moved over from Reddit on desktop. I mostly use kbin but this old design strongly has me considering using this lemmy.world account more often.

OK, this looks perfect

Noob question: Can someone tell/direct me how to get this working with lemmy.ml ? OR can I somehow use my .ml account on .world?

I can possibly do this myself on my local machine, but dont have the time, if someone has already done it or if there is some easy path i am missing?

thanks !

Connect for Lemmy used to throw error, giving you a illusion that posting a comment failed, so you click again. Rinse repeat.

This is why there are duplicate posts/comments.

For me problems were gone when I switched to Liftoff app.

Oh my gosh, this is exactly what I needed to commit to the jump. Thankyou for accommodating us creatures of habit.

Now do the new reddit style.

While the very latest reddit may not work that well, it does look very slick and modern. Lemmy is clunky and retro. I don't want it to mimick reddit, but I'd like it to at least come up to modern standards.

Don't know if this bug is reported upstream or not.

My default listing is "subscribed", if I go to "Top All" and click next page button, I get "Top Sucscribed, page 2". (my current listing doesn't last)

I can't log in to this. Is this intentional or is something broken?

Seems to be timing out today. Is there an issue with the website?

Edit: working again.

Thank you Ryan!

I am using this now and it is marvellous. Like someone has handed back to me an old and much loved garment, but it is all fixed up and restored to as new condition

Oh my God it's beautiful!

I know there are a couple of other *.lemmy.world domains, are they actually listed anywhere? feels like they would make sense to be added into the starting guide stickied here for newbies.
