Small thing but I'd love some metadata about the comment or post when I'm replying. Things like the time it was posted, username and maybe even subreddit with the instance. The full thread for nested comments would maybe be nice but maybe the ui for scrolling through that would be messy.
I'd love to be able to adjust line spacing in the body text of posts, like I'm able to do for the comments. Also, now that I'm writing this, I'm noticing that it would be nice to have that in this reply composition screen too. But maybe I just haven't found that one?
Hide NSFW doesn't work anymore. Only blurs.
It seems like a lot of images and gifs on Lemmy are hosted on catbox.moe and exactly zero of them ever load. Any chance of adding support?
I think that getting support for 0.19 working is a bit important now, since many smaller instances seem to be taking the plunge and upgrading to the beta, so being able to login and support lemmy instances with the new auth protocols is very important.
I would like to be able to set another type of default sort. Default sort is now "active", I would like to be able to change that to "hot".
(or maybe it's already there but I can't find the setting?)
A setting to hide posts that I have voted on. I miss this from Reddit.
Setting a default filter mode for comments. I could find a way to do this in settings, so maybe I'm missing something, but I'd expect it to be the same as default filtering for posts.
Do you mean sort?
Would there be a way to implement a meta reddit style setup?
Sync doesn't seem to format post titles which have links, which breaks the titles of posts made from mastodon ( since the hashtags are in the title).
Just added support for this ^
@ljdawson@lemmy.world hi! Late to the party, but could you fix spoilers to align them with Lemmy's format?
Restoring the broken filters and fixing the missing saved content bug. But even more important you should be improving your build process' release cycle so you can push out fixes out before new features. I don't want more fluff right now, I want the app I paid for to work as advertised. It's been a month and I'm starting to consider other free competitors.
2 old features I liked from the reddit version. Probably going to be quite low priority versus some other things, but they're the missing things I'm noticing most.
-
The little "next / previous comment" arrows. Worked very well for skipping comment chains when you're already a bit into them.
-
The little "+#" count next to the total comments to show how many new comments have popped up in a post. Combined with the unread comment dot it made keeping track of new comments on a thread I liked nice.
Is it possible to add an option to remove the notification bar at the top of the screen when scrolling? Basically full screen when scrolling.
There used to be a Reddit app that supported this but I forget which.
It would be super helpful if we can hide entire instances from showing up at an individual level. For e.g. I see a lot of posts from feddit.de - I don't have anything bad against the server or the users, but the posts there add no value to my experience and fill up my feed with content I'll simply not understand. It would be a better UX to be able to hide these without having the home instance and other users on it be affected by your preference.
I haven't seen other people report this, but for me if you click on comments then hit back it won't take you to the page you clicked on the comment link from, but rather the previous one. So if I was on page 2, go into comments then click' back' I'd end up on page 1.
