People posting fucking yt vids instead of articles are out of control
Amen. If I cared more I'd it some requirement to at least have some kind of writeups when posting YTs.
Why I shared YouTube videos twice now instead of news articles is because I cannot find any good sources for them that are relevant to this community.
Hey, I don't want to get on you either, appreciate the submission. It was more a general gripe about how YouTube videos seem to replace articles.
I just wanna know why the auto added text for YouTube links is always just a generic blurb in German and not the actual description of the video being linked.
I just got rid of another subscription today. Reolink security cameras may be expensive, but they’re all local.
Subscriptions will destroy us. If I would be a long time user of a free thing and company sometime said "Hey, pay for it. This actually cost us money. (Difficult explanation). You see it now?", I would be "No, fuck you" and throw this piece of Putin's crap out the window. I prefer two things: one time payment (not too high) or free forever.
Thank you for reading. Have a nice day.
Fuck Subscriptions
Naming and shaming all "recurring spending models" where a one-time fee (or none at all) would be appropriate and logical.
Expect use of strong language.
Follow the basic rules of lemmy.world and common sense, and try to have fun if possible.
No flamewars or attacking other users, unless they're spineless corporate shills.
Note that not all subscriptions are awful. Supporting your favorite ~~camgirl~~ creator or Lemmy server on Patreon is fine. An airbag with subscription is irl Idiocracy-level dystopian bullshit.
New community rule: Shilling for cunty corporations, their subscriptions and other anti-customer practices may result in a 1-day ban. It's so you can think about what it's like when someone can randomly decide what you can and can't use, based on some arbitrary rules. Oh what, you didn't read this fine print? You should read what you're agreeing to.
