Very chilling. One of few that really stuck with me in high school.
This is one of those stories I always forget I've read, funnily enough somehow just doesn't stick (although I do like it every time)
As shocking and terrifying as this story is, I always great even more horror from the fact that when people first read this, they thought it was real and asked the author where this village was so they could go watch next years lottery.
This was in my seventh grade English class. Good story. South Park spoofed it with their Britney Spears episode.
