From reddit user twobit1982.

Witnessed 09/02/2023 from 7:00pm to 7:07pm over Salt Lake City. I have tried to contact the local FAA office to verify no planes/weather balloons in the area. I have not been able to get a response. Trying to find out if anyone else spotted it, or just us? They seem to be flying below some of the clouds.

I like how the lady said, 'We as a society grazed over that,' in reference to the allegations made by David Grusch.

I've seen quite a few videos of what look like an object spinning while moving in a straight line. The size and clarity on the video always make it hard to see any detail or firmly compare to other sightings. Some dismiss these as balloons because of the apparent spin on them and fixed movement. But, I don't think the lack of unique shape or movement should automatically dismiss them as something prosaic. Objects like this have likely been sighted for a long time and just disregarded.

Yes. In these types of videos, I try to determine what the object isn't and then work from there. Sometimes, the apparent absence of urgency or movement in the object is intriguing.
