I’ll give a pass to games in a series (i.e. “Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow”), but otherwise, tone it down “F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch”

I know it’s an issue not limited to Metroidvania, but geez - look at them all

They all desperately want to avoid the first Thing becoming 'Thing 1,' as if they're definitely going to get a Thing 2: With Subtitle. Just put all your effort into one kickass name, like Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.

... the fuck is Wand Of Gamelon doing on that list?
