Kamala should just have mock debates at every one of her appearances, with a Trump impersonator in a chicken suit. The impersonator doesn't even need to say anything, they can just play actual clips from Trump rallies of Trump saying stupid shit for her to respond to. He'll cave within a week, and his acolytes will insist this was his plan all along.

I would love to see this. Trump can't stand being called a loser, it would be awesome for these mock debates to focus on tactics that drive narcissists crazy

[-] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 9 points 3 months ago

Mock debate

Noun - To mock a loser wannabe dictator when he is too much a coward to debate.

[-] Spitzspot@lemmings.world 19 points 3 months ago

Add an ear maxipad and make it pay-per-view.

[-] dhork@lemmy.world 23 points 3 months ago

I wouldn't want to see them mock him for getting shot at, though. It would just feed his persecution complex.

[-] BassTurd@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

I would but wouldn't. Not a good look, but I'd still chuckle.

What's Alec Baldwin up to these days?

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

I like that one impersonator of him that had his own show for a while there. {googling}

Anthony Atamanuik, on The President Show. That impression - wow.

If he won't debate, they should put together a "debate" where they take in-context Trump quotes, show them on a screen, then let Kamala respond to them. Let her rip apart his awful rhetoric and lack of policies and if he doesn't show up to defend himself, that's his problem.

[-] kmartburrito@lemmy.world 37 points 3 months ago

We honestly need things like this so that the Dems can start to show strength instead of always appearing to take the high ground and ending up staying frustratingly silent. This is a great idea

[-] argarath@lemmy.world 20 points 3 months ago

That is actually a freaking phenomenal idea! Making it like one of those videos of "expert x reacts to" with Kamala watching some of trump's promises and just destroying them not only makes her able to simultaneously explain why he's a terrible person and terrible president and show how she's a good pick, it would also make it accessible to younger demographic, increasing her base from not just taking the indecisive voters but from getting more people to vote!

I hear tRump is an 80 year old man. Everyone is saying it. His brain is even older. Everyone is saying that too.

Good everyones too, the best everyones. Very smart, like, ok?

[-] thefartographer@lemm.ee 4 points 3 months ago

I just said it! And I'll fucking say it again, too.

Dementia Don the racist rapist with 34 felonies that can't complete a coherent sentence is really good at dodging things. Take the draft for a nice early example. Now this? Of course he won't debate her, he'll look like a baby that needs a diaper change. She'd fuck him up and make him look like the weak piece of shit he his. Yet "patriots" shout his name and will vote for him. This bastard doesn't have a patriotic bone in his McFat body.

[-] Dkarma@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

If she doesn't debate they have no recent sound bytes or video clips to attack...

[-] InternetUser2012@lemmy.today 4 points 3 months ago

That only works for their cult though, her trashing him works on his people and the undecided. It's a trade I'm willing to make.

[-] NidoranDuran@kbin.run 52 points 3 months ago

The switch-up from Biden to Kamala seems to have thrown Trump and his flunkies for a loop, like there was actual damage done to them as a result.

The past election seasons have been a blur for me (mostly because I don't want politics occupying my brain 24/7), but at the moment, Trump seems to be flailing in a way that I can't recall seeing before.

[-] Dkarma@lemmy.world 11 points 3 months ago

It's fascinating seeing them try to scramble to find something that'll stick to her while she's got all the material in the world to use against him including his own words

[-] cheese_greater@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Flailed politician

Syphilis rotting brain Dotard Trump is afraid of Kamala.

He famously challenged and then hid/ducked from debating Bernie back in 2016 as well. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/may/28/donald-trump-refuses-to-debate-bernie-sanders

He’s a scared little puss. #Donold Duck

[-] indepndnt@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

She should show up anyway. Leave an empty podium for him.
