One thing you can't say is that was a boring game.

Side note: I love we're doing game threads on Lemmy!

[–] TORFdot0@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Man I’m sure glad I deleted my Reddit account so no one can dig up all my anti-coach prime comments on there

[–] nurple@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

I hate that I want the buffs to win this

[–] simplelifelfk@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

Fantastic game. As a Jayhawk, I’m looking forward to Colorado coming home to the Big 12.

[–] nurple@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Ain’t no defense being played on that there field

[–] WingedThing@lemmy.one 1 points 2 years ago

No tackle. Only Interception.

[–] YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Ok, this Colorado team isn't just hype. That was a great opening drive.

Well... CU marches the whole length of the field to draw first blood. Did not expect that.

[–] wjrii@kbin.social 4 points 2 years ago

The CU defense held up longer than I thought, but they seem to be roughly who we expected. The CU offense is coming together much quicker than I thought, I'll admit it.

[–] TORFdot0@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

The offense in this game is like a heavyweight bout. Can’t believe that Prime is already got the buffs rolling on offense. Sean Lewis was a really good hire and I thought he’d be a P5 head coach by now.

[–] YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

WOW! Interception in the endzone. The Buffs are for real!

[–] Andjhostet@kbin.social 4 points 2 years ago

CUs offense is really impressive. If they go up by two scores right off the bat that could be huge.

[–] Andjhostet@kbin.social 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

TCU will finish in the bottom half of the Big XII this year.

[–] TORFdot0@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Either Colorado hit a Homerun with Prime or TCU is in trouble

[–] YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Good Block by TCU

Blocked FG!!!

[–] wjrii@kbin.social 3 points 2 years ago

Still better tackling than USC.

[–] wjrii@kbin.social 3 points 2 years ago

Well, that happened. 'Scuse me, between my alma mater on Thursday and my wife's alma mater, also my local team for the last two decades....

I think I have kerosene to go drink. Worst part of this is now I actually need Colorado to be legitimately good all year so this doesn't look as bad.

[–] 1hitsong@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

This game is much more exciting than I expected.

I can’t believe how well he’s still playing after over 100 snaps. Will be interesting to see if he can keep it up the whole season without being injured

[–] ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social 3 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Boy, the whole Big Noon Kickoff show was basically a Colorado show... It would be hilarious if TCU absolutely crushes the Buffs

oof, well you win some you loose some. Good drive for the cavs

edit: wrong game thread but you get the idea

[–] MrCyan@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Buffs living up to the hype.

[–] CMLVI@kbin.social 3 points 2 years ago

Hunter is wild

[–] YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (3 children)

For Colorado this is already a massive improvement over last year. I feel they will be top tier in the next three years. Just in time for my own kid to start going there.

Score: 24-21

Gus Johnson: Looks like we got an old-fashioned Big XII game

This isn't even the final form of Big XII football. Just wait until triple overtime...

[–] g0d0fm15ch13f@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Some backyard football here

[–] CMLVI@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

Hate to say it, but I think Deion is the real deal, at least going from this game.

[–] TheAndrewBrown@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago

I can’t believe how quickly this cobbled-together team is looking like the real deal. I never would’ve imagined them doing this good. And I don’t think TCU looks bad either, other than Morris.

Just walks into the end zone. Not great D by the Buffs there

With these lead changes, this game has become much more exciting than I anticipated

[–] wjrii@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

Have family in town and haven't been able to pay attention like I might have liked. Probably the best thing for my blood pressure.

Nice return! Go Frogs!

[–] YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

The hype is for real.

[–] YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

So, does Colorado now have two Heisman contenders on it? I think so.

[–] ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Why are we still getting post-game coverage when the game went over? They need to switch the broadcast to the Texas game already

[–] YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

They knew what everyone is going to talk about all week.

[–] willsenior@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago

Coach Prime!

[–] g0d0fm15ch13f@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It's only one score at halftime, right were the horned frogs want the buffs

[–] YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

I'm thinking that TCU hoped to be up by 24 at this point.

[–] YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I have this game and the Air Force game on and both are a joy to watch!

[–] ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Just made an Air Force game thread here

[–] YoBuckStopsHere@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Thank you! #1 Rushing Offense in College Football!

[–] ToasterOverlord@fanaticus.social 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Feels like TCU really needed that field goal. Momentum is all with CU still.

OK, maybe this fumble will bring the momentum TCU's way
