I think it’s pretty and I appreciate the dev’s intention, but it’s highly inconvenient. Let me explain. You are in community A and want to go to community B. You have to go back/swipe two times EVERY time you want to jump to another community. That’s twice as much actions. I personally change community frequently and it’s a UX regression IMHO.

That’s not your case?

I agree with this after I've been using it. We are discussing options as now :)

better than supporting reddit

i would rather deal with a few incredibly minor inconveniences

tbh i have a roof over my head and food in my mouth, so i haven't really thought about the number of swipes i have to make in an app, it just isn't that important

i'm more happy that i have a beautiful client to browse an alternative to reddit

i'll sit here happily and patiently while the devs carve out their path lol

It would be great if you could make the Feed tab start on this, as that’s how I had Apollo configured. Basically the way I use the app is by first selecting which community to browse and don’t want to see a feed of posts from different communities.

I’m the opposite, I definitely want to see the feed of all my subscriptions. Rarely browse.

If that’s the case having the communities first you tap « Subscribe » to see your subscriptions once and it’s there for a long time until you either go back or the app is kicked out of memory. As it stands now everybody browsing subs has to do an additional gesture every time they switch communities.

Is it just me or does the sliding animation not feel as smooth as the rest of the app? Feels like 60 fps instead of 120. I'm on iPhone 14 Pro.
