If anyone out there is in a weather related power outage or has a tree fall on their home don't go out and buy a generator thinking insurance will cover it. I found out the hard way that they'll only cover rentals even if it's more expensive that way.

I did a full solar system, specced to 120% of our average yearly usage, with battery storage and backup. As a Texas resident, surviving our grid became a priority after the cold snap/heat wave of ‘21/‘22 and so on…
