Also, 100k likes? Having not been on corporate social media sites for a couple of years that just looks grotesque.

I'm as partial to the old dopamine hit as the next guy but after a point surely it's meaningless?

Eh this was one of the biggest joke tweets and the biggest microblog site, and I believe over half of America was watching. It makes sense.

No doubt it's there. It just feels outlandish and meaningless to me these days to see it.

It's because they use every dirty trick for views.

Stuffing it into your feed unsolicited, autoplaying it, promoting it everywhere because it's an engaging post, spamming push notifications, whatever. Not to speak of a swarm of bots liking it.

It's probably as inflated as can be without being obviously legally negligent.
