My neighbour mows their lawns weekly and short. I mow mine high and kind every 3 weeks. My lawn looks better, thiers looks brown and dying.
During the summer I'll see people mowing dust...like we don't get rain for a month and they're still "cutting". I just don't understand the need to mow constantly. Plant some native plants and help out the insects.
I’m all for cutting less…mostly for my own laziness.
But I do the same. Less frequent and taller cutting…it’s not perfect but it looks nice in the midst of summer.
I love the look of some tall grass and native plants, makes everything feel like a nice green field.
