You need an addon for that. YouTube lets you block shorts for 30 days at a time.

That's one of the weirdest features i have ever seen. I know that they just want to push that shit, but no option to just remove it is so dumb. Look at this garbage feature, maybe you love it next month

YouTube Enhancer is one option but there are ones that are made just to remove shorts too.

I use a custom filters for uBlock Origin:

www.youtube.com##:matches-path(/)a#thumbnail[href*="/shorts"]:upward(7)

www.youtube.com##:matches-path(/)a#endpoint[title*="Shorts"]

Might need some adjusting depending on OS and browser (I use this for chrome on mac.)

I was more interested in the way the other person said.

They said you can do it in the YT app for 30 days at a time. I can’t find it though. I’m limited as I’m on iOS.
